ACEE Signs Project Cooperation Agreement with ACFA
ACEE signed a project cooperation agreement with Asian Clean Fuels Association (ACFA) on environmental management of fuel underground storage tanks/pipes in September 2012.
The project aims at promoting best practices and responsible care on preventing groundwater contamination and improving drinking water standards vis-à-vis leaking fuels from fuel storage and handling system (e.g. underground storage tanks (UST).
In order to achieve it, the two sides agreed to conduct collaborative research into best practices in environmental management of fuel underground storage tanks/pipes, to co-organize workshops and trainings, and release relevant project information on respective website.
ACFA was established on 1 August 2000 in Singapore. Its role is to promote and advance the use of clean fuels.
